This recipe makes a 750ml bottle of delicious dry gin at 43% ABV
Ingredients:
- 30g Juniper Berries
- 9g Coriander seeds
- 2,5g Orris root
- 1,5g Liquorice Root
- 1,5g Sweet orange Peel
- 1.5L 50% ABV Neutral spirit
Procedure:
- Start by crushing the botanicals and adding them to your neutral spirit.
- Allow the mixture to soak overnight
- Place the solution into a small pot still and begin distillation process
- Collect and disgard the first 40ml
- Make heads, hearts and tails cuts
- Blend cuts to prefererred taste
- Allow gin to settle for atleast 24 hours
- Dilute gin down to 43% with distilled or RO water
- Tip: If your gin is cloudy put it in fridge overnight and then filter though a coffee filter to remove excess oils
- Bottle your gin and enjoy!
