This Lindt chocolate liqueur recipe is a real crowd pleasure due to its decadent nature. You can use any dark chocolate but we recommend using a high-quality brand such as Lindt. Flavored dark chocolate can also work nicely (eg: peppermint or orange).
Ingredients:
- 100g Lindt dark chocolate (60% cocoa or more)
- 500ml heavy cream
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla bean paste
- ½ cup neutral spirit (70% abv)
Method:
- Add chocolate and heavy cream to a saucepan. Heat slowly, stirring continuously until the mixture is melted and smooth.
- Add the sugar and stir until sugar is dissolved.
- Add 1/2 a cup of water and vanilla and stir until combined.
- Remove from the heat and allow to cool for +/- 20 minutes
- Add your neutral spirit and combine
- Your chocolate liqueur is now ready for bottling. You can store it in your fridge or freezer for up to a month.
