Sloe gin is a sweet, bright red liqueur.
Ingredients:
- 50g sloe berries
- 250g castor sugar
- 1L Gin at 43% ABV
Method:
- Add sloe berries, sugar and gin to a 2L glass jar and shake well
- Store jar in a cool, dark place and shake the jar once a day for the first 7 days
- Allow the mix to mature for atleast 3 months
- Strain mixture using a muslin cloth and decant into a clean glass container
- The sloe gin is now ready to drink, however it will continue to mature in flavour over time should you wish to drink it at a later stage.
- Enjoy neat or with a mixer.
